This is a compiled list of software that is distributed completely free or has a free version. We use this software everyday and can confirm that it is virus and spyware free. It's just a great deal. Some software has restrictions on use, so please read any licensing information when installing the product. We encourage you to let us know if there is another great piece of free software that you know of that is not listed here.

A freeware, designed to scan a computer for known malware, spyware and remove them.
Spybot S&D:
Detects and removes spyware. Also has features to keep spyware from ever getting on the computer.
Media Burners and Rippers
CDBurnerXP:
A free application to burn CDs and DVDs, including Blu-Ray and HD-DVDs.
DVD Shrink:
Software to be used in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.

DBAN:
